Your character called Daniel is exploring a dark and foreboding castle while he tries to maintain his sanity by avoiding dangerous monsters and other obstructions.
Let’s tell you more about the story of Amnesia: The Dark Descent for MacBook. As we said, you take control of Daniel who navigates Brennenburg Castle while trying to avoid many dangers and solve puzzles. On his journey, your character can store small items in an inventory menu. The larger objects can be raised by holding down a mouse button and push or pull the mouse.
In addition to a health indicator, you have to manage Daniel’s sanity centered around an ”afraid of darkness” mechanic. You will see that sanity is reduced by staying in the dark for too long. This means that light sources help restore sanity and you have to search for them. In Amnesia: The Dark Descent, if a monster sees your character, it is going to chase him until he evades its sight. Daniel is not able to fight monsters so he must avoid been seen or run away fast. You can restore Daniel’s health by using laudanum found while playing. Also you can hinder monsters by closing doors and building barricades from different objects. But keep in mind monsters are able to destroy doors and also knock over objects. It is important to find the best strategy in order to stay safe and not to be hurt by any monster.
